Tube: Short, thick and bulbous, in red (53D).
Sepals: Quite broad, held horizontally with tips recurved. Richly coloured in magenta (61C), a slightly paler shade on the lower surface.
Corolla: Broader than it is long, quarter flared; smooth turned under margins; opens an amazing dark purple (79A); maturing to dark reddish purple (61A)
Foliage: A lightish green (137C).
