Naturally bushy and vigorous encliandra species from the Sierra Madre region of Mexico bearing profuse red-pink flowers. Both foliage and flowers are larger than is found on a typical encliandra cultivar. In the pine, oak and alder forests at 2,600m above sea level where it grows in the wild, this will make a fairly tall shrubby bush. Hardy to -3°C.
