Spectacular flowers in terminal clusters, handsome foliage, and fairly tuberous roots. This is a real beauty, but somewhat awkward and slow, repaying patience and care. Not easy to shape, does not appreciate being pinched, and has a mind of its own.
One for the experienced grower. Always very limited supply.
Tube: Smoky dark reddish pink at the ovary end, tlighter rose pink at the other. Fairly long, slim, thinner towards the top.
Sepals: Rose pink blending to yellow and green tip, horizontal, tips may be recurved, reflexed, and/or twisted slightly.
Corolla: Red with orange cast. Long, flat, spoon shaped petals, held apart and 1/2 flared.
Foliage: Fairly large, long and pointed matt leaves with a textured surface. Often concave. Bronze green with maroon veins above, maroon below.
Parentage: F. macrostigma x F. fulgens var. gesneriana.
