Gorgeous species hybrid that flowers from autumn to spring and prefers part shade. Very different from a triphylla although terminal flowering. Best supported (or allow to wander about).

Tube: Purple red 71B, flaring slightly towards sepal end.

Sepals: Red purple 60B above, somewhat lighter N57C below, quite short, horizontal or slightly down.

Corolla: Red purple 60B, 1/4 flared, spoon shaped petals.

Foliage: Long, dark lush matt leaves, flushed purple when young. They can look as if they are wilting slightly, even though the plant does not need watering.

Parentage: ((Göttingen x Our Ted) x (Göttingen x Our Ted)) x (F. inflata x F. juntasensis).

Flower Tube: bell shape, diameter round, purple-red 71B, 77x9mm.

Sepals: Variable position, four-sided symmetry, top down, section plane, exterior color and red top pair 60B, inside light pair red N57C, 25x9mm.

Petals: bell-shaped top, bottom view square, quarter outstanding, the petals are elongated with a smooth edge, whole red color purple 60B, edge and veins dark red purple, 18x11mm.

Filament: eggplant, 4 long and 4 short stamens, 21-15mm.

Anther: yellow.

Pollen: white.

Style: eggplant, 112mm.

Stigma: gray orange, lobed.

Flowering: Generous clusters.

Flowering time: autumn to spring.

Button: triphyllas shape, point sideways, angular diameter, normally open top.

Leaf: elliptical shape, top striker foot rounded edge slightly serrated, looks shiny, velvety and bumpy, deeper veins, medium green color top, greyish green, midrib, veins and petiole light green young leaves are reddish at the base.

Growth habit: climber - hanger.

Growing Method: pendant, tethered shrub or climber for in partial shade, color best in partial shade.

Special features: Winter bloomer with an F. triphylla descent and particularly long flower tubes. The plant is best well supported, and flourishes throughout the winter in a cool place. This is a cultivar nominated by the NKvF.
