Big, bold blooms are well displayed on long petioles away from stems. Terrific plant for the garden with very vigorous, upright growth.

In warm climates, an established plant can reach 360cm (12'). In the UK, 120 – 150cm (4' to 5') is more likely. Possibly more in mild areas or very sheltered positions.

Tube: Dark red, quite long, ribbed.

Sepals: Dark red, long, thick creped texture, horizontal to 1/2 up.

Corolla: Magenta maturing dark red, smooth, overlapping petals, 1/4 flared.

Foliage: Large dark green leaves.

Parentage: Santa Monica x President.
