Year Introduced: 1909
Reputedly one of Lemoine's best purple cultivars, and certainly an excellent hardy. Good, vigorous growth, dark, healthy looking foliage, and large flowers of real quality and substance, that last well. Fairly long pedicels too, so the flowers are nicely displayed away from the foliage.
Tube: Rich pink.
Sepals: The same rich pink as the tube, held horizontally. The slightly recurved tips have a trace of green.
Corolla: Warm purple, with some rich pink veining at the base of the petals. These are smooth, with rounded edges, 1/4 flared.
