Slender, smallish flowers in profusion on strong wiry stems, a very vigorous fuchsia and excellent garden plant that is often used to make colourful hedges. Graceful, arching growth, the variegated foliage complements the flower colours beautifully.
Needs good light, and achieves best size and foliage in a sunny, sheltered position.
Tube: Scarlet red, shortish.
Sepals: Scarlet red, held 1/2 to fully down.
Corolla: Purple, more scarlet towards petal base, unflared.
Foliage: Grey-green, young growth rose tinted, creamy-white irregular variegation.
Parentage: F. magellanica x.
