Absolutely gorgeous in hanging basket displays. Not widely available, or easy. Sensitive to overwatering and needs early pinching. A challenge, perhaps best for more experienced growers.

Tube: Neyron rose 55B.

Sepals: Light neyron rose 55D above, carmine rose 52C below, horizontal, recurved.

Corolla: Beetroot 71A, hot pink 38A base, matures ruby red 61B, neyron rose & vermilion 41C, 1/2 flared. (Appears wine red with salmon pink base and deeper wine red edging to the petals.)

Foliage: Mid green.

Parentage: Checkerboard x Papa Bluess.

Bell shaped to half flared 32mm (1 1/4) long x 47mm (1 7/8) wide COROLLA opens beetroot purple (71A) with azalea pink (38A) base; maturing from ruby red (61B) to neyron rose (55B) with vermillion (41C) stains

Half up 48mm (1 7/8) long x 16mm (5/8) wide SEPALS are light ney- ron rose (55D) on the upper surface, carmine rose (52C) on the lower surface; tips are re- curved

Proportionately long neyron rose (55B) TUBE is medium thick

STAMENS extend 16mm (5/8) below corolla with light neyron rose fila- ments and anthers

PISTIL extends 19mm (3/4) below corolla with crimson (52A) style and pale orange (159B) stigma

FOLIAGE is lettuce green (144A) on the upper surface, darker (147D) on the lower surface with 92mm (3 5/8) long x 68mm (2 5/8) wide cordate shaped leaves, serrate edges, acute tips and rounded bases
