Profuse bunches of long single flowers. Not easy, a fuchsia for experienced growers, but highly rewarding. Needs pinching.

Tube: Magenta rose to aubergine, long, flared.

Sepals: Magenta rose 64B/C above, ruby red 61A/B below, 1/2 down, recurved.

Corolla: Opens oxblood red 187A, matures paler 187B, 1/4 flared, short, smooth petals.

Foliage: Darkish medium green.

Parentage: F. excorticata x F. triphylla.

Quarter flared 7mm (1/4) long x 5mm (1/8) wide COROLLA is oxblood red (187A) maturing slightly lighter (187B) with smooth petal edges

Half down 12mm (1/2) long x 6mm (1/4) wide SEPALS are magenta rose (64B/C) on the upper surface, ruby red (61A/B) on the lower surface with recurved tips

Proportionately long 22mm (7/8) long x 3-7mm (1/8-1/4) wide magenta rose TUBE is of proportionately medium thickness

STAMENS extend 2mm (1/16) below corolla with ruby red filaments and brown anthers

PISTIL extends 5mm below corolla with ruby red style and peach stigma

Long pointed BUD

Triphylla type FOLIAGE is dark green (147A) on the upper surface, lighter (147B/C) on the lower surface with 60mm (2 3/8) long x 22mm (7/8) wide lanceolate shaped leaves, serrulate edges, acute tips and bases

Veins are pale green, stems light green with light greyed brown branches

Petals: bell-shaped crown, bottom view around, outstanding quarter, the petals are usually formed with a tip, dark purplish red color entirely 59A, darker veins, 9x6mm.

Filament: eggplant, four long and four short stamens, 11x8mm.

Anther: eggplant.

Pollen: missing.

Style: eggplant, 46mm.

Stigma: pink, lobed.

Flowering: normal.

Flowering time: usual.

Bud: triphyllas shape, angular diameter, axillary one bud per leaf axils, normally open top.

Berry: No data.

Leaf: spatula shape, head and foot pointed, slightly serrated edge, matt appearance, velvety and flat veins deepens, color medium green upper side, lower side light green, midrib, veins and petiole reddish.

Growth habit: upright.

Growing Method: bush for filtered light, best color in filtered light.

Special features: triphylla hybrid with the flowers at the end of the branch, so that the inflorescence resembling a bunch. Approved by the VKC 10 or 18-8-1985.
