Lechlade Maiden 
An adaptable and beautiful fuchsia that can be trained into baskets or as a standard, pillar or fan. Lovely.
Tube: Dark red 47A, long and slim.
Sepals: Dark red 47A above, red 47B below, green tip. 1/2 down, recurved.
Corolla: Red purple 61B, matures magenta 61C, unflared.
Foliage: Dark green on top, mid green under.
Parentage: F.magellanica (80.541 Berry) x Rubra Grandiflora.

Nonflaring bell shaped 8mm (1/4) long x 6mm (1/4) wide COROLLA open red purple (61B) maturing to magenta (61C) with smooth petal edges
Half down 16mm (5/8) long x 3.5mm (1/8) wide SEPALS are dark red (47A) on the upper surface, red (47B) on the lower surface with darker recurved tips
Proportionately long thin 21mm (7/8) long x 3mm (1/8) wide TUBE is dark red (47A)
STAMENS extend 11mm (3/8) beyond corolla with rose (61D) filaments and anthers
PISTIL extends 22mm (7/8) beyond corolla with rose (61D) style and pink (48D) stigma
Long narrow BUD
FOLIAGE is dark green (137A) on the upper surface, medium green (137C) on the lower surface with 53mm (2 1/16) long x 19mm (3/4) wide lanceolate shaped leaves, serrulate edges, acute tips and bases
Veins are green with brownish red stems and branches

Self branching medium upright, standard or pillar
Prefers overhead filtered light in a cool to warm climate with best bloom color in filtered light and is heat tolerant if shaded
Tested 4 years in Arnhem, The Netherland and introduced in 1990
