Bright, bold flowers of substance – wow, what a hardy! Free-flowering (two per axil) and reliable, upright and bushy. Good for exhibition as well as bedding, containers and training as standards, fans etc.
Has smaller flowers, shorter tube, and darker corolla colour than James Lye.
Tube: White with pink blush N155B, medium size, strongly grooved texture.
Sepals: White with pink blush 65B above, darker pink flush N57C below, green tip. Horizontal to 1/2 up, concave, strongly reflexed, may twist slightly. Thick, creped texture.
Corolla: Pink purple N74A to 72B, paler at petal base. Outer petals are much shorter than the four inner ones, and may also have an occasional splash of pink 64D, 3/4 flared. Most petals are incurved or softly pleated, with a rounded edge.
