A lovely hardy with open growth and plentiful flowers in dark purple red and dark pink violet. These are very nicely displayed on 3.5cm (1½") pedicels, not hidden amongst the glossy, metallic green foliage that inspired its name.
Tube: Medium thickness, dark pink red 53C.
Sepals: Dark pink red 53C above, slightly paler 58B below. Quite thick, 1cm wide, horizontal, slightly recurved tips.
Corolla: About 2cm long, dark pink violet, start pleated then open to a slight smooth bell shape, 1/2 flared.
Parentage: F. regia var. Typica x Beacon.
