This very old cultivar is still grown and loved for its magnificent foliage. Pinch to encourage new shoots as needed.

Best grown in part or dappled shade. Fairly sun tolerant for a golden leaved cultivar. Avoid deeply shaded areas, as leaves will be a more normal green in very low light conditions.

Tube: Dark red.

Sepals: Dark red, 1/2 down.

Corolla: Purple, maturing reddish purple, 1/4 flared.

Foliage: Golden leaves, which take on bronze tints as they mature.

Parentage: Sport of Souvenir de Chiswick.
