The triphylla hybrid fuchsia ‘Dharlah’ (De Cooker, 2011) is a vigorous, upright growing fuchsia, which can be grown both as a bush, pillar or standard. It has, amongst others, Göttingen and Our Ted in its parentage. Best color is obtained if the pink flower is protected from direct sunlight. Indications exist that ‘Dharlah’ is a hardy fuchsia, and this will be tested further in the coming years. If ‘Dharlah’ proves to be a real hardy cultivar it could give an excellent display in a lightly shaded border area, growing up to a height of about 1.5 meters within a couple of months.
